Frequently asked questions

General information for preparing your request to the office.

What documents are needed for enforcement?

A signed application, the enforceable instrument in the required form, representation documents and other relevant records. The list is checked against the instrument and request.

Can enforcement begin on an invoice alone?

An enforceable instrument is required. If the submitted document is not enforceable by law, the instrument must first be obtained through the appropriate procedure.

In which counties does the office have jurisdiction?

The office operates within the Oradea Court of Appeal's district, covering Bihor and Satu Mare. Specific jurisdiction depends on the procedure and applicable legal criteria.

How much does enforcement cost?

Costs depend on the value and nature of the obligation and the required acts. Fees are set within statutory limits; expenses may include service, duties, publicity and expert reports.

What is the fee for authorising enforcement?

It is RON 20 for each enforceable instrument unless a statutory exemption applies. This is not the total enforcement cost.

Can I send documents by email?

Contact the office to check submission and signature requirements. The instrument must be supplied in the legally required form; a scan does not automatically replace an original or certified copy.

How long does debt recovery take?

Duration depends on service, attachable assets and income, procedural incidents and the parties' conduct. A fixed deadline or full recovery cannot be guaranteed.

Can notices be served by an enforcement officer?

Yes, within statutory powers. The application, document to be served and complete recipient details are required.

How do I participate in an auction?

Read the sale notice for conditions, security deposit and deadlines, then prepare the required documents. An application template is available on the Required documents page.

How do I request information about an existing case?

Provide the case number, your identity and procedural capacity. The office checks your access rights before disclosing information.

This information is general. Applying it to a specific case requires documents and an assessment of the circumstances.
